The Washtenaw Food Policy Council State Representative Candidate Forum
Moderated by Zoe Clark of Michigan Radio's "It's Just Politics."

The Washtenaw County Food Policy Council (WFPC) is a subcommittee of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. Our mission is to increase and preserve access to safe, local, and healthy food for all residents of Washtenaw County.

Candidate forums are a non-partisan opportunity for the public to connect with candidates before an election. This forum will focus on issues related to local food systems, healthy food access, and agriculture.

The entire Michigan House of Representatives is up for election this year. Therefore, we have chosen to invite candidates running in the four State House Districts that overlap with Washtenaw County - Districts 52, 53, 54 and 55 to this forum. Candidates will be asked questions about topics related to food, agriculture, and food access.

Please help us promote this event! The recording will not be distributed widely, so we hope you join us LIVE on September 30th.

Thank you to our partners: Argus Farm Stop, Food Gatherers, Growing Hope, Agricole Farm Stop, and Taste the Local Difference for helping make this event possible.
