Ubuntu Dialogues Web Seminars

This series of FREE web seminars is organized under the auspices of the Ubuntu Dialogues Seminar Program. The Ubuntu Dialogues project is an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded partnership between the Stellenbosch University Museum and the African Studies Center at Michigan State University. The partnership is geared toward establishing new and strengthening existing connections and cooperation between universities, museums, and communities. The web seminars take the form of trans-Atlantic intellectual engagements among academics, professionals, and students in Museum and Heritage Studies, Public History, and other related fields. They place Ubuntu (an African socio-centric philosophy premised on collective humanity and interdependence) at the center of debates on institutional histories and knowledge and institutional decolonization and transformation.

We invite you to join us in this effort to dialogue and collaborate in producing dynamic sites for the co-creation and dissemination of knowledge and practice.
