His primary responsibility is to provide conservation technical assistance to landowners in Bayfield County. This includes project planning, design and construction oversight of wetland restorations, agricultural best management practices and shoreline stabilization. Prior work includes 5 years with Bayfield County Planning & Zoning and 5 years in Source Water Protection with WI Department of Natural Resources. Quita Sheehan (Conservation Specialist @Vilas County Land & Water Conservation Department) Quita has been a Conservation Specialist with the Vilas County Land and Water Conservation Department since 2010, where she provides technical assistance to landowners, lake organizations, and other groups who care for the waters, wetlands, and uplands of Vilas County. She designs erosion control projects and native plant restorations, and works on wildlife habitat projects including pollinator gardens. By training, Quita is a plant ecologist who loves to explore and share the native plants and ecosystems of the Northwoods.
